As of 2000-02-12, Cingular is reporting that vasp10.pacbellpcs.net is malfunctioning, so PCS email is non-functional. This seems to happen a lot with them, and the support person said that it's related to the PBW->Cingular merge.

Another interesting tidbit is that the PAC BELL operator logo on your Nokia is being changed to read "Cingular" They're doing it in 10,000 customer blocks every 24 hours for ~2,000,000 customers.

Cingular is the new name of PB wireless, which merged with 10 other wireless companies. Hopefully this will turn out to be a Good Thing (tm), and I'll be able to SMS a whole lot more people! :-) Then again, they might turn out to be all evil and Verizon-like!
