how can i access a virtual console greater than 12 in linux?

assuming that you have getty or something similar running on those consoles, you press rightAlt and fx, where x is the console you want to access - 12. That method will get you to consoles upto 24, the only way i can figure to get to a console higher than that is by pressing alt-left_arrow or alt-right_arrow, those move to the previuos and next console.
