Richie: "About what? The weather? Monday Night Football."
Other immortal: "Peace."
Richie, sarcastic, holding up his fingers in the "peace" sign: "Hey buddy, totally. It's a good line, pal, but no dice."
He comes closer, and the other man puts his hands in his pockets, telling him that he "stopped taking heads long ago. I'm not even armed."
Richie: "Come on, buddy. You know the drill. Everyone carries a sword, everyone takes heads, we fight or we die."
Other immortal: "That's what we were taught. But what if we could end the fighting? Imagine, what if all immortals could live in peace? Real, eternal peace."
Richie: "Who are you?"
Other immortal: "I am the oldest of us living still. I am...Methos." Faces Richie. "It's up to you, Richie Ryan." Kneels. "You can take my head." Richie draws his sword back. "Or you can think about what I said."
Note: Okay, as you can imagine, I ran into a little problem with the names here... After considering options, like using "Methos 'A'" and "Methos 'B'", or putting the actor's initials after the name, or using the ROG abbreviation (Really Old Guy) for one of them, or any of a number of equally irritating-to-read options, I finally decided that since the "other" Methos didn't seem to have any other handle, he'd get to be called Methos, and I'd use for the One and Only Cute-Toed One his former nom-de-Watchers and call him "Adam." (Which, of course, causes its own problems because this is the episode where he stopped being Adam...) So, every time you see "Methos," I'm talking about Ron Perlman's character, and every time you see "Adam," I'm talking about Peter Wingfield's character. Got it? Good! :)
Harry: "Nope."
Duncan: "What did you bring me down here for?"
Harry: "Because, she'll go for 20."
Duncan: "Ah, I might've known it. You're an old goat." He senses another immortal, and turns to see William Culbraith standing below.
Harry: "So, you want her?"
Duncan: "I'll be right back, Harry." He walks down the pier, and we move to...
Duncan voiceover as he and Jeffrey run through the woods: "I'd been running slaves through the Underground Railway for a couple of years, helping them escape north, to freedom. I'd promised Jeffrey we'd get him past Confederate lines, so he could join his future bride, who I'd already led to safety in Philadelphia."
He and Jeffrey reach a road, but run into Confederate soldiers. Duncan tells Jeffrey to run, but Jeffrey sees the soldiers about to shoot and tackles Duncan, taking the bullet in his own leg. Duncan and Jeffrey are taken, along with a small contingent of captured Union soldiers, to Andersonville Prison. Jeffrey is limping as best he can, but his leg was shattered by the bullet. Duncan helps him in, Jeffrey saying that they shouldn't even be there, they're not even soldiers. But Duncan reassures him that he'll take care of him, promising that he'll get him to a doctor as soon as he can. Inside the prison, the Union Captain (Greenwell) and Duncan look around in shock at the masses of prisoners, many of whom are wounded. As Duncan and Jeffrey limp forward, a prisoner falls on Jeffrey and tries to grab his canteen, but Duncan shoves him away.
Greenwell: "I thought these were Union soldiers!"
Duncan: "They were."
Greenwell grabs the prisoner who attacked Jeffrey: "Who's in charge of this hell- hole?"
Duncan senses another immortal, and Culbraith strides up along the battlement (if that's the proper term).
Duncan: "I think we're about to find out."
Culbraith addresses the crowd: "You have been warned. There is no escape from Andersonville. It is futile. It is suicidal, for those who try and for others. What I do now is on your heads, not mine." He orders three men to be taken, reminding the prisoners that for every one who tries to escape, three will be executed.
Duncan protests: "That's murder."
Culbraith: "No one questions my authority here." He orders Duncan to be brought to his quarters.
Before Duncan arrives, Culbraith is looking pictures of his wife and kid, which he puts away as Duncan is brought in. He introduces himself as "Colonel William Everitt Culbraith," and invites Duncan to sit.
Duncan: "I'll stand."
Culbraith: "I'm guessing you're an Abolitionist, MacLeod. It may surprise you to learn that I myself harbor ill feelings towards the institution of slavery. Matter of fact, on my farm just outside of Atlanta, my wife and I have no slaves of our own."
Duncan, not impressed: "Really. But you have Andersonville." He says Andersonville is not a prison, "it's a slaughterhouse."
Culbraith: "It's all slaughter, MacLeod. What they do. What we do. I've seen more death in this war than I'd seen in a dozen lifetimes. And I'm sick of war. Theirs and ours. But I'm a soldier, sir, and I have my orders." He says that Andersonville is the way it is because "there's no order. They kill each other for a crust of bread."
Duncan protests that they're starving, and that as soldiers they demand some respect. Culbraith says that they're destroying the South.
Culbraith: "My South. And the truth is, I have nothing to feed them." Goes on to say that "my own troops are on half-rations. What would you have me do?"
Duncan: "For a start, let's spare those men you're about to have killed."
But Culbraith refuses, saying "I can't afford mercy," that "without discipline, we descend into chaos." Duncan lunges for him, saying that he can't treat them like animals, and the other soldiers pull him back. Culbraith says he doesn't like killing, but he will if he has to. Duncan is dragged off, saying that he has to talk to him about a doctor, and we move back to...
Richie: "Just give me a chance to explain."
Duncan: "What's there to explain? Because of you that murdering bastard's still alive."
Richie: "So what?"
Duncan: "So what? You wanted Culbraith to live. Do you have any idea what he is?"
Richie: "Mac, it doesn't matter what he is. It's gotta stop."
Duncan asks him what he's talking about, and Richie starts talking about ending the fighting, the killing, the taking heads.
Richie: "We can end it."
Duncan: "Because you say so?"
Richie: "Just hear me out, okay. Someone taught you to fight, someone taught him that, and someone before that."
Duncan: "Because that's the way it is."
Richie: "That's not the way it has to be. Mac, I'm talking about peace. All of us living in peace."
Duncan: "It can't happen."
Richie: "Why not?"
Duncan: "Because of men like Culbraith."
Culbraith: "I didn't put him in harm's way, MacLeod. You did."
Duncan: "He's just a boy, he's a scared boy."
Culbraith: "They're all scared boys. I'll do what I can. If my surgeon's available, I'll send him in the morning."
Duncan returns to Jeffrey, trying to help him through the night. Jeffrey thanks him for what he's done.
Duncan: "For what? I was the one that got you into this."
Jeffrey: "I may be a prisoner, but I ain't no slave."
In the morning, Culbraith is getting dressed when Sergeant Hickson comes in with a letter from his brother-in-law. Outside, Duncan is trying to get in to see him, asking for two minutes. Culbraith reads, "Dear William. This heinous war has taken an even darker turn. It grieves me to tell you this, but your wife, my sister, and the children..." Culbraith dismisses Hickson, and as he leaves Duncan tries to push his way in. Culbraith lets him in, but when Duncan asks about the surgeon, Culbraith says coldly that his request is denied. Duncan can't believe that he'd let Jeffrey die, but Culbraith says that "agony is what this war is all about." He refuses to even let Duncan have a knife to try the operation himself, and has him thrown out of the office.
Duncan returns to Jeffrey, and tries to ease him through the pain, but Jeffrey finally asks him to "make it stop."
Duncan: "There's nothing I can do."
Jeffrey: "Please. I don't want to die like this." Duncan refuses, but Jeffrey says, "Mr. MacLeod, you have to." Duncan finally agrees, and he steels himself and breaks Jeffrey's neck. Culbraith comes by just after, and Duncan and he stare at each other with hate before Culbraith moves on.
Richie: "Maybe Culbraith was doing what he thought he had to do. You don't know what made him like that."
Duncan: "Right, I don't. And I don't care."
Richie suggests that they try to talk to each other, saying they might understand each other, that they "might even find a reason not to fight."
Duncan: "I don't need a reason to talk to him. Some people are evil. Not bad, not misunderstood, just plain evil. And you don't talk to evil, you destroy it."
Richie: "But Mac, evil only exists because of fear. That's what Methos is talking about."
Duncan looks up: "Methos? You talked to Methos?"
Richie: "I know. Imagine that. The oldest immortal alive. Here I thought he was a legend, and then he shows up out of the blue."
Duncan, not really believing it: "And feeds you this stuff about peace and love."
Richie: "Mac, this guy's got wisdom and strength. Listening to him is like listening to some kind of saint."
Duncan, with a snort: "He's no saint, and I don't care how old he is, he's wrong."
Richie: "Mac, you're not hearing what I'm saying. I'm talking about a chance to change our lives forever, to live without being afraid."
Duncan: "What, without a head?"
Richie shaking his head: "Sometimes I don't get you, Mac. Sometimes, I just don't get you at all." Leaves. Duncan gets in the elevator and goes up. As he rises, he senses another immortal, and looks out warily as he reaches the loft. The loft is dark, but he makes out a figure sprawled on his bed, listening to his stereo. He walks in, and Adam says, "Hey, grab a beer. There's a cold one in the fridge."
Duncan: "Yeah, I know, it's my fridge. I thought you were out wandering the world?"
Adam: "Yeah, Tibet. Yak butter plays hell with the digestion. Besides, I'd had all the enlightenment I could use."
Duncan snatches the stereo remote from him: "Maybe you should have kept it to yourself." Goes over and turns off the music.
Adam: "Sorry, I must have dozed off. What is it we're talking about?"
Duncan: "All that crock you're feeding Richie."
Adam: "Right, and what crock would that be, exactly?"
Duncan: "Oh, you know. Stop fighting, lay down your sword, give peace a chance. Ring a bell?"
Adam sitting up: "Wow. So he's here, is he?"
Duncan: "Who's here?"
Adam gets up: "The other Methos."
Duncan doesn't react for a second, then turns, unbelieving: "What?"
Adam puts his boots on the kitchen counter and starts rummaging in his backpack: "I've never actually met the guy. But I've heard rumors. Wanders around the place spreading his message to other immortals."
Duncan: "Using your name."
Adam: "Well, it's not like it's got a patent or anything."
He reaches for his boots, but Duncan grabs them and drops them on the floor in the living area, asking what the line is about peace and love. Adam follows and tosses his coat off the chair to sit down, saying that "maybe it's just exactly what he says it is." Duncan picks up the coat and puts it away.
Duncan: "Turning the other cheek only gets you slapped harder."
Adam: "But it's got such a nice ring to it. Yeah, no more fighting, no more killing. Peace and harmony. Don't tell me you never fantasized about that. Some young sucker's always going to fall for it."
Duncan: "Richie has."
Adam: "Voila."
Duncan: "He thinks the guy's some kind of prophet."
Adam: "Well who's to say he isn't?"
Duncan: "You are. This guy's a fraud."
Adam: "Look, there are enough people out there who want my head for who I am. Now I say, if he wants to play Methos, let him."
Duncan: "Even if it gets him killed?"
Adam: "Yeah. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." Picks up his boots again, muttering about craftsmanship, "I only put a thousand miles on them."
Duncan: "You're gonna convince Richie that this guy is a fake."
Adam: "What makes you think that he will believe me?"
Duncan, sweetly: "Because, you are gonna be very sincere."
Adam, glaring: "I left Katmandu for this."
Richie: "This has gotta be some kind of joke. Joe, help me out here. I mean, 5,000 years of wisdom? Him?"
Adam is slouched back against the bar, not saying anything while Joe Dawson and Duncan try to convince Richie.
Joe: "Well, I dunno about the wisdom, but yeah, 5,000, that's about right."
Duncan: "I know it's a little hard to believe, but what you see is what you get. This is the real Methos."
Adam looks at Richie cheerfully and shrugs his shoulders. Richie says he doesn't care about the name, "It's the message I believe in."
Duncan: "Richie, the message is wrong and it's gonna get you killed." Points out that he just met the guy, and asks why he wants to believe him.
Richie: "Because he offered me his life. Now why would he do that?"
Duncan: "Because he's afraid to fight you."
Adam: "Or because he knew you wouldn't take it."
Richie: "Oh, yeah, right."
Adam: "There's one born every minute!"
Richie gets disgusted, saying that he's trying to talk about a chance for peace, a chance to end the killing forever.
Richie to Duncan: "Of all people, I thought you would understand."
Leaves.
Richie: "Of all people I thought you would have understood." He leaves.
Joe: "He's young, all right? Young people....they make mistakes."
Adam: "Yeah, look at disco."
Duncan sighs: "I gotta get going. I've got someone to find." He leaves.
Joe: "I'm gonna go check on this other Methos, maybe I'll turn something up."
Joe leaves. Adam looks around at the empty bar.
Adam: "Maybe I'll go and buy some socks...."
Cut to Culbraith on the docks. He senses another immortal, and draws his sword as Methos comes up to him. Methos introduces himself, and shows Culbraith that he carries no sword.
Culbraith: "Then you're a fool."
Methos: "If you kill me, we won't be able to talk."
Culbraith says there's nothing to talk about, but Methos says they can talk about who he is, who he was, and why "you feel as you do."
Culbraith: "You don't know a damn thing about me."
Methos says he knows others who knew him.
Methos: "They say that William Culbraith was a soldier. They say he lost his loved ones."
Culbraith: "Everybody has."
Methos: "Does that make it any less painful?"
Culbraith: "I told my family about holy ground. They thought they were safe. Union soldiers found them hiding in a church. They burned it to the ground with them in it."
Methos talks about his grief, saying that because of it "you went out to kill."
Culbraith: "As many as I could."
Methos: "But that didn't end the pain. So you kept on killing. Until you could no longer see their faces."
Culbraith: "I tried. I tried to remember Jesus but I couldn't."
Methos puts his hands on Culbraith's shoulders: "I know what you're feeling, William Culbraith. And I know how to end it."
They turn as they sense another immortal, and Duncan appears around the corner, carrying his sword. Culbraith goes to confront him, but Methos puts a hand out to stop him. He tells Duncan it doesn't have to be, that he should put up his sword.
Duncan: "You must be the new prophet. Well, we can talk about it after."
Methos steps between them, telling Duncan that Culbraith acted "out of pain, because of what others had done to him. But it can end here. You can end it."
Duncan: "It'll end when I take his head."
Methos: "Is that what Darius taught you?" Says he knew Darius, knew how much he loved Duncan. "Would he be proud of this?"
Flashback "Band of Brothers"
Duncan is looking at the aftermath of the battle, and Darius is telling him that "you shouldn't be taking part in this tragedy."
Duncan: "I was raised a warrior. I choose battles I believe to be just."
Darius: "Oh, I'm sure. You're quite loyal to your convictions and compatriots. But I wonder what these men think about that, about convictions and compatriotism now."
Present Day
Methos: "When Darius asked you to consider peace, you listened, and you tried."
Duncan: "You're not Darius."
Methos: "I carry the same message."
Duncan: "Even if you convince a thousand to follow you, it just takes one to start the killing. Just one."
Methos: "Will you be that one, MacLeod?" Steps between him and Culbraith again, so that Duncan's sword is at his neck. "The one who wouldn't consider peace?"
Duncan glares, then withdraws his blade and leaves.
Adam: "Methos, I presume."
Methos: "So they tell me."
Adam smiles, and comes down to him, saying brightly, "You know, it's interesting. I was always told that you were a myth. And yet you look very, very real. Tell me, it is true that you were a friend of Socrates?"
Methos: "Oh, I've had many friends."
Adam: "And, um, I--I've always wondered...Cleopatra, what was she really like?" Bends over to look at Methos with innocent eagerness.
Methos: "She was a woman. She loved, she lived, she died."
Adam: "Yeah, speaking of death..." Draws his sword and holds the point to Methos's neck. "You seem very vulnerable."
Methos: "We're all vulnerable."
Adam: "Yes, but you a little more than me, I think. I mean, a lot of people might want the head of a 5,000 year old man."
Methos: "A lot of people might want to listen to a 5,000 year old man."
Adam: "I suppose that's true. I mean, 50 centuries, after all, you must have learnt a lot. Knowledge, wisdom, that sort of thing."
Methos: "Truth is, my beliefs are very simple."
Methos: "Truth is, my beliefs are very simple."
Adam: "Yes, I heard about your beliefs. Do you really think there's no such thing as evil."
Methos: "Only fear."
Adam: "So what, Genghis Khan and Hitler were just children playing up?"
Methos: "They were men, driven by fear to commit evil acts."
Adam: "And if their mothers had loved them truly, it would have been a different world."
Methos: "Can you say it wouldn't?"
Adam pauses: "What about the game?" etc.
Methos: "I think it's worth trying."
Adam, raising the sword again: "Even if it costs you your head?"
Methos stands and throws his tools to the ground: "Can anyone live for 5,000 years and say they did nothing? Risked nothing? Merely stayed alive? It'd be pointless."
Adam smiles: "Some might think that that experience was worth saving."
Methos: "I'm not one of them. But, we can talk about it."
Adam: "No, I've got a prior engagement, I'm afraid." Goes off, swinging his sword.
Methos: "I didn't catch your name."
Adam: "No, that's right, you didn't." Adam leaves.
At Joe's, Adam is talking angrily,
Adam: "A little pathos, a little pop psychology...the guy is either delusional, or he is a fraud." Goes to MacLeod. "And you are buying it."
Duncan: "I'm not buying anything."
Adam: "No? One speech from the Wise One, and you forgive Culbraith. I mean, what's next? Friendship rings, the Love Boat?"
Duncan: "I haven't forgiven anything. He just made me think."
Adam: "Oooooooh. I'm just saying, don't think too much, 'cause we can't afford another one on the list."
Duncan: "What list?"
Joe tells him that he "did some checking on this Methos flake." Mac looks at Adam.
Joe: "The other one." Says that there's a "trail of dead immortals behind him."
Duncan: "He's killing them off."
Joe: "No, he's just suckering 'em in. And then the immortal lays down his sword and the next immortal doesn't."
Duncan says that he's not a convert, but Joe asks, "What about Richie?"
Duncan and Richie sitting on some steps outside a church.
Duncan: "It's a lot to think about, what life and death means. If it means anything."
Richie: "I want him to be right Mac."
Duncan: "I know."
Richie: "I don't like killing."
Duncan: "You're not supposed to."
Richie: "You see Mac, change has to start somewhere. Wouldn't you like to live your life without looking over your shoulder?"
Duncan: "Yeah, but it's not possible, not in this life. We do what we do because we have to, we have no choice." Richie looks at him. "There's a lot of evil out there, and it's up to people who can stop it to do so. If we don't, if we do nothing, then evil wins."
Richie: "That's it, it's just that simple."
Duncan: "Whatever it is, it's not simple."
Richie: "Listen Mac, I respect you more than anyone I've known, but I have to make my own decision about this."
Duncan: "I know you do."
He gets up and walks away.
Cut to Richie in Methos' garden.
Richie: "[???] For 20 minutes you haven't said a word."
Methos: "Go home Richie."
Richie: "Why, what did I do?"
Methos: "You're not ready yet, you'll give it up when the time is right."
Richie: "So you're pissed?"
Methos: "No, I'd just rather not have weapons in my presence."
Richie: "I know, but I told you, this goes against everything I was taught."
Methos: "Spartans left their children on a hillside to die. It wasn't right, but it was what they were taught. We act because we are taught to act, we kill because we are taught to kill, because we fear death."
Richie: "Aren't you afraid to die?"
Methos: "Of course. I'm no fool." Says that Richie wonders if that's why he does all this, because he's afraid to fight. He orders Richie to get up, and hands him a hoe. "Come at me." Richie finally does, and Methos dumps him on his butt.
Richie: "I wasn't ready for that."
Methos gives him his sword, and tells him to do it again. Again, he gets the better of him, taking his sword away and holding it on him.
Methos: "Sometimes the best peacemakers are those who are most experienced in war. It's not that I won't fight, it's that I refuse to kill." Drives the sword into the ground.
Richie nods at it: "And that's why you don't want them around."
Methos: "My faith is my defense. So far, it's worked."
Richie: "I'm sorry I doubted you."
Methos: "Richie, don't believe because of my strength. Believe because of your own, because you want to."
Richie: "I do."
The loft. Richie comes in while Duncan is cooking. Duncan offers him dinner, then offers to work out with him, but Richie refuses.
Duncan: "So why'd you come?" Richie takes his sword and holds it in his hands.
Duncan: "Richie, think about this."
Richie: "I have, Mac."
Duncan tells him that the sword "is not just a weapon. This is part of us, part of who we are."
Richie: "Not me. It's not who I am. Not anymore. Look, we don't have to agree on this. I'm sorry."
Duncan, putting a hand on his shoulder: "So am I."
Richie: "I'll see you."
Culbraith: "I thought about what you said." He asks Methos if "you think I could change."
Methos: "I know you can."
Culbraith: "If I wanted to." Raises his sword. "And I don't."
Methos: "I don't believe that. This is a mistake, William."
Culbraith: "You're mistake. I'll have the head of Methos."
Methos: "I looked in your heart. I know I reached you."
Culbraith: "And found your death."
Methos: "If this is what is in your heart, to kill an unarmed man, who kneels before you." Kneels. "Then I was wrong. But I don't believe I was wrong."
Culbraith: "Believe." He strikes.
In the dojo office. Adam, Duncan and Joe are sitting around drinking. Adam is saying sarcastically, "So, Richie's his newest disciple. Isn't that cute."
Joe: "Oh, and I suppose you would know just what to do."
Adam: "Oh, yeah. Standard response to unforseen dilemmas, perfected over many centuries."
Duncan: "What?"
Adam: "Nothing."
Joe: "You know, I think I liked the other Methos better."
Adam: "You asked." Joe turns away, and Adam gets up, saying in a peeved tone, "I think maybe I'll just go... look at the graffiti in the men's room."
As he leaves, Joe says, loud enough for him to hear, "Is it just me or this guy really being a JERK?!" Adam glares over his shoulder, but moves on, shrugging into his coat.
Duncan: "There's nothing to do. It's Richie's decision, and we have to respect it."
Joe: "What? Even if it kills him?"
Duncan: "I taught him how to survive. What he does with that is up to him."
Cut to Richie coming into the garden. He finds Culbraith there, sitting in a chair.
Culbraith: "I didn't mean to surprise you. I never thanked you for saving my life."
Richie: "It's not a problem. I mean, it's what he teaches."
Culbraith says he's never met anyone quite like the "old man. It's hard to imagine how he's lived this long without a sword. How are you managing?"
Richie: "Well, I guess, faith can take you a long way. You?"
Culbraith: "Faith? I don't have any faith." Pulls his sword out. "No faith at all."
Back at the office.
Joe: "Some guy comes along, says everything is just rosy. No more death, no more fear. Well, hell, Richie's going to buy into that. But it's a mistake that's gonna cost him."
Duncan: "Well, it's his to make. It's about integrity."
In the garden. Richie is trying to tell Culbraith that it's wrong, but Culbraith isn't listening.
Culbraith: "I guess old habits die hard."
He swings, and Richie dodges back, still trying to get him to listen. Culbraith says he listened to Methos, "right up to the end. Now, are you gonna make it as easy as he did, or are you gonna put up a fight?"
At the office.
Adam comes back in, saying, "Okay, there's this Spanish guy, Alejandro Diego Spinoza." Tells how he was called in by the Inquisition, and tortured. "Now, all he has to do, is say 'no.' Very simple word. They take his home, his money, his lands, but he will not give in."
Joe: "So what happened?"
Adam: "He died screaming in agony. But, he kept his integrity."
Duncan makes a face, resigned: "Don't save my seat." Gets up, telling them to let themselves out.
Joe to Adam: "You are one calculatin' son-of-a-bitch."
Garden. Culbraith is still pursuing Richie, saying that they're all the same.
Richie: "He was different."
Culbraith cuts him in the stomach: "We were meant for war." He turns as he senses another immortal, and turns to see Duncan standing above them. "You can't interfere, MacLeod. The battle's been joined."
Duncan: "I wouldn't think of it."
Takes out Richie's sword and throws it to him. Richie doesn't catch it, but he rolls for it and gets it just as Culbraith lunges for him. He stabs him.
Culbraith: "Is this the part where I beg for mercy? Or will you say we don't have to do this?"
Richie: "Neither."
Richie pulls the sword out and takes Culbraith's head. Duncan turns and walks away. During the Quickening, Richie sees the faces of the soldiers at Andersonville, scrolling around him while military drums play and we hear the sound of gunfire. When it's over, Richie falls to his knees in the garden.
Richie, looking over at Adam: "I mean, I know he wasn't the real Methos. Maybe he wasn't right, either, but he was a good man."
Adam, lounging on the couch, rolls his eyes.
Adam, with heavy sarcasm: "Listen, I'm sorry I disappointed you, kid." He gets up and heads for the door.
Richie: "That's okay."
Adam: "Later." He keeps walking, and Richie stands up.
Richie: "Old timer. You got any words of wisdom for me?"
Adam pauses for a second: "Nope."
Duncan giggles. When the door shuts behind Adam, Richie turns to Duncan.
Richie: "Well, uh, thanks for saving my life. Again."
Duncan: "Yeah, all I did was level the playing field."
Richie: "You know, Mac, I think I'm gonna head out of town for a while. Just get on my bike, and try to figure some stuff out."
Duncan: "One of those big questions?"
Richie: "Oh, yeah."
Duncan: "If you don't find the answers. Keep looking."
Richie: "I will." He heads for the elevator.
Duncan: "Richie. Be safe."
Richie: "You too, Mac."
Well, this is the last one for a while! See you in a couple of months (January?), for "The Valkyrie."
