Directors have the discretion to allow those within 100 points of a division
cutoff to play up. Players must be current National Scrabble® Association
members. You may join the NSA by adding $18 annual dues. Entries received after
November 1st, add $10. No entries will be accepted after 6pm, Friday November 6th.
No Walk-ins will be accepted!

Entry fee includes a luncheon buffet at the Lodge on Sunday only.

PRIZES:
|
Cash prizes will be awarded to a minimum of the top 3 finishers in all
divisions. Additionally, the highest-placed finisher in the
lower half of each division (based on NSA rating list) will
be awarded a cash prize (limit one prize per contestant). Actual prize
amounts will be determined based on the number of entrants. The directors
for this tournament are not paid, and all after-expense funds are intended
to be awarded as prize money.

LODGING:
|
The Los Gatos Lodge has reserved a limited number of rooms
at a discounted rate to tournament players. These rooms are "first-come, first-served"
and must be reserved by calling (800) 231-8676. Mention the Scrabble tournament.
Other area motels include the Los Gatos Motor Inn directly across the street (800) 642-7889;
and the charming Garden Inn of Los Gatos about 1 mile across town at 46 East Main Street (800) 888-8248.
Both have rooms starting at about $70 per night.

LOCAL CHARM:

The Los Gatos Lodge is located within walking distance of delightful "downtown" Los Gatos
with its many shops and restaurants.
|
|
DIRECTIONS:
|
Los Gatos lies in the foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains, about
10 miles south of the San Jose Airport.
Take Route 17/880 South (toward Los Gatos/Santa Cruz) to the
East Los Gatos exit. Drive 1 block to the 1st light.
Turn right into the Los Gatos Lodge parking lot.
