(COOLLIST) Pinky and the Brain
NARF!
Last weeks Pinky and the Brain, the WB network spinoff from
Animaniacs, was hilarity in the highest extreme. Wesley Foundationeers
will get a kick out of this dialog:
(The Brain and Pinky see a commercial for a worker's compensation
lawyer who promises to win lawsuits and get people extravagant
amounts of money.)
Brain: Are you thinking what I'm thinking, Pinky?
Pinky: I think so, Brain, but I don't want go back into the tent.
Brain: Pinky, Sigmund Freud would have a field day with you.
So, who spilled the beans? Has someone been secretly communicating
with Sherri Stoner and friends? (They are responsible for much of the
WB TV animation)
Anyway, I'm busy learning automata theory from NCSU and advanced video
editing from ACTV. My second episode, which begins filming next
Wednesday, will be so much better than the first, I really feel
confident in that.
OK, I must confess to a recent guilty pleasure. Last Tuesday I went
to see Dallas-born eyeglass girl Lisa Loeb perform here in Austin. It
was neat. She performed a few new songs, but nothing shockingly
different. All her songs from her album were pretty much
indistinguishable from the recorded versions. I was charmed by her
between song banter. Who else could get away with telling the crowd
that they had been touring a long time now, pausing, then saying they
were going to tour for a long time to come. The opening band, Once
Blue, was competent bluesy fem-vocals, but not that special.
Latest word is that I'll be travelling to Atlanta around April 5th.
It is still subject to change, but that is my target. I want to see
ALL of you Atlanta-ites, especially the cute ones. :)
