Enjoying Music in Sweden

Karl Bartos's concert in Gothenburg had to be one of the best I ever attended. Probably because I was shocked to find out that he would play mostly old Kraftwerk classics. And I expected the Kraftwerk persona where he would be motionless... no the guy boogied and had fun up there. Karl rules. Karl Bartos fans exhibiting synthpop fashion. Of course, the obligatory Kraftwerkian red dress shirt with black tie. Me, Karl Bartos, and my friend Fredrik. I asked Karl to come to Atlanta... he said "Oh we (Kraftwerk) were there in '75 ... that was before you were born, wasn't it?" He needs to come back. Here we are.. some hardcore synth fans eagerly waiting to get in to the Depeche Mode Exciter Release Party in Gothenburg. This being the first release party for DM ever held in a city I lived in... I was excited for Exciter. I was pretty excited when I got into the Exciter Release Party. It was cool because everyone's cellphones were going off and all were programmed to various Depeche Mode tunes. A trip to Sweden wouldn't be complete without seeing a Loveless gig in Stockholm. Unfortunately, Depeche Mode scheduled their tour opposite of mine. So.. I did not get to see this gig.
